'Strictly Come Dance and Dine' Charity Event
Encore Dance Entertainment in conjunction with Newcastle Dance Centre are delighted to have staged and co-ordinated this fantastic charity specacular!
Here are the details:
Oh What a night! On Saturday, February 12th, we held our Strictly Dine and Dance Ball and raised over £55,000 for St Oswald's!
Look North's Jeff Brown was crowned St Oswald's Strictly Star with his partner Gemma Senior (Encore dancer), with footballer John Beresford and Metro FM's Anna Foster chosen as Runners Up.
Based on the hit TV Show, Strictly Come Dancing, fellow contestants were: boxer Glenn McCrory, Real Radio's Lisa Shaw and BBC's Alfie Joey, Hannah Bayman and Colin Briggs.
Partnered with professional dancers, from Newcastle Dance Centre, our celebrities all took to the stage twice - for a nominated dance and then a show dance - then faced a panel of esteemed judges, Michael Conway, Mavis Whiteside, Radio Newcastle's Jonathon Miles and Emmerdales Charlie Hardwick.
Guests then voted for their favourite couple, with Jeff and his partner Gemma Senior (one of Encore's Dancers) crowned our winners.
